That is why SendSimply continues to evolve around the feedback we receive and the challenges we see on the ground. We are constantly looking at how our services can become easier to use, more practical for local businesses, and more useful for customers.

Since August 2026, we have introduced more than 50 new features and tools to improve the platform and give our merchants better ways to manage their operations. These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to building technology that solves real problems, not simply adding features for the sake of it.

Running an independent shop is already demanding. Managing online orders, updating products, coordinating deliveries, and keeping customers informed should not make the job harder.

Our aim is to make these processes as straightforward as possible. SendSimply brings essential tools together in one platform, helping merchants manage their Marketplace presence and fulfilment without having to juggle unnecessary systems or complicated workflows.

We also believe local businesses should be able to grow online without being burdened by costs that make it harder to compete.

Merchants can list and sell products through the SendSimply Marketplace without paying sales commission to SendSimply. We want to give independent businesses another way to reach customers while keeping their own commercial interests in mind.

We believe supporting local shops should not mean adding unnecessary costs or creating pressure to increase prices. Our focus is on providing useful technology and delivery options that work for both merchants and customers.

Making Local Shopping Easier

The SendSimply Marketplace is designed to help customers discover local businesses and shop for the things they need, while making delivery more convenient.

Whether it is picking up everyday essentials, finding something from a nearby independent shop, or arranging a courier when you need one, we want to make accessing local services simpler.

Our platform continues to develop in response to how people actually shop and move around Colchester. Convenience should not come at the expense of supporting local businesses. We want to make it easier to do both.

Coming Soon: SendSimply Shipping Points

One of the exciting developments we are working towards is SendSimply Shipping Points.

The idea is simple: give shoppers more flexibility when visiting participating shops and local destinations. Instead of having to carry every purchase around town, customers will be able to leave eligible purchases at designated Shipping Points for a courier to collect and deliver to their chosen address, subject to the service's availability and terms.

This could make a day out in Colchester more convenient, particularly for shoppers buying heavier or bulkier items, or anyone who would rather enjoy their time in town without carrying their purchases everywhere.

Shipping Points are part of our plans to connect local shopping with practical delivery options. We will share further details as the service develops.

Expanding Quick Request Locations

We are also working to expand the locations available through Quick Request, helping customers access courier services from more shopping centres and local hotspots around Colchester.

Our goal is to make requesting a courier more convenient by bringing the service closer to where people shop, work, and spend their time.

As we develop this service, we will continue to look at locations where additional collection options could make a meaningful difference for customers and local businesses.
